Conduct group nutrition education classes, activities and community events (as required) using UC approved curricula, may provide food demonstrations and food tastings, and distribute educational materials to community partners. Recruit program participants to meet established enrollment and outcome requirements, and track and maintain required program-related paperwork, inventory, activity reports, and other documentation. Assist with planning special events in collaboration with program leadership and community partners, and work to establish relationships with new partners. May be responsible for collecting and compiling enrollment documentation, evaluation data, maintenance and delivery of nutrition education curricula inventory, and report writing. Participate in approved training and developmental activities to learn and maintain programmatic and subject matter competence. Perform data entry of program-related paperwork into shared database.
UC Elkus Ranch provides educational opportunities for Bay Area Youth. The main purpose of this position is to work directly with school-aged children in hands-on educational programs. Activities include: lessons and activities in animal science, gardening, environmental science, recycling, natural history, and farm tours. Position includes hands-on work with livestock and their care, garden maintenance, and some clerical work.
This position is a limited term/career appointment that is 40% variable that ends on 6/30/20.
Salary - Min $17.39/hr. to Mid $25.81/hr.
