Want to try it yourself?   Take one of our Community Canning Classes at Elkus Ranch. In addition to our library talks, our volunteers are offering several hands on classes at Elkus Ranch Environmental Education Center in Half Moon Bay that will include time in the kitchen under the direct tutelage of our volunteers.  They will assist with every step to insure you are learning all the processes and procedures so you can successfully preserve at home.  Participants will take home samples of each recipe prepared that day.  All morning classes are tentatively scheduled from 9 am – 12pm.  Afternoon classes typically run from 1 pm - 3 pm.  Registration and pricing information will be available for each class as it approaches.
