As 2022 winds down, we would like to thank all the wonderful people who have supported Elkus Ranch; the students, teachers, volunteers, donors, camp attendees, special event attendees, and of course our wonderful staff including our friendly livestock.

We had a busy Fall with many school groups visiting. A big draw in October is our pumpkin patch where students are able to pick a small pumpkin to take home. Our animals are always thrilled to get the leftovers for a snack!

Fall Camp was booked to capacity the Monday and Tuesday before Thanksgiving with many returning campers making for extra excitement as friends reunited, including campers with their favorite animals.

Unfortunately, we lost two of our beloved animals this fall - our infamous llama Spice (20+ yrs. old)  and our ram Shaggy. The ranch is not the same without them and they are deeply missed.

December sees us slowing down, giving us time to refresh and tidy up. With our Winter Camp, three days before the holiday break,  coming up and is fully booked.

Elkus and the UCCE office will be on holiday closure from December 23rd to January 3rd, 2023.
