Master Gardener School Garden Leaders Workshop

Description: School Garden Leaders -- come to learn and share ideas at our New Year’s workshop on Saturday, Jan 20, 2024 at 10 am. Topics covered at this session:

• Life of honey bees
• Advocating for school gardens
• Native plant tour at the beautiful San Carlos library garden

Workshop Fee: $20 donation requested to support the UC Master Gardener Program of San Mateo & San Francisco Counties.

School Garden Workshop Team: UC Master Gardeners Betsy Colby, Kristi Waldron and Kim Ricket. Together they have over 40 years of experience creating lessons and teaching in school gardens. The team supports school gardens throughout San Mateo and San Francisco counties by offering consultations and advice to new and existing school garden programs. They hold workshops to help educate school garden leaders and to give them ideas they can bring back to share in their own school gardens. They look forward to helping teachers and parents find ways to include gardens in their curriculum.
